how can I help?
Discover the difference. A Real Estate Agent and a REALTOR® are not the same thing.
When it comes to buying or selling your home, it’s important to know the language of the industry. For instance, Real Estate Agents and REALTORS® are not the same. While these terms are often used interchangeably, there are important differences that you should know. Both are licensed agents, capable of helping you list your home. But for the very highest level of knowledge and service, you’ll want to work with a trusted REALTOR® like me.
what does “realtor” mean?
- Only Real Estate Agents who are members of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) can use the widely respected designation of REALTOR®
- NAR holds REALTORS® to a higher standard, ascribing to the very highest code of ethics in the industry—that means added peace of mind knowing your best interests will be at the forefront every step of the way
- REALTORS® are required to obtain continuing education each year resulting in exceptional knowledge of current industry standards, guidelines, and trends that will be part of your experience and shape your story
“Throughout my journey as a REALTOR®, I have taken many ethics courses and professional standards training. I take my position very seriously. Everyday, I have the privilege of guiding clients through some of their most important life decisions. And that means the world to me.”
